Hyderabad: All-rounder Irfan Pathan has got dream call from Team India to play in Champions Trophy slated to be held in England next month. Pathan has been absent from the Team India because of bad form and injuries.

It is being speculated that Skipper MS Dhoni might have helped Pathan to get entry into Indian cricket team. It is to be noted that Dhoni had recently praised Pathan a few months back by saying that Team India needs all-rounder like him at the moment. Dhoni also emphasized on the need to prepare the team for the 215 ODI world cup. Dhoni was confident that Pathan has the ability to fill the gap of all-rounder in the team.

On the other hand, Pathan quoted that he wants to bowl according to the captain’s plan in difficult situations. He said that his main objective will be to bowl correct line stressing that he was keen to share more responsibilities as per the team’s demand. Pathan was looking confident after recovering from his knee injuries.  He also found to be upset with the way people are responding to his selection in the team. He backed his selection by reminding his past performances. He remembered the last game which he played prior to the injuries.

Pathan was declared Man of the Match in that match. The left-hander took five wickets in the One Day International match against Sri Lanka. He blamed cricket followers for having short memory. However, Pathan also said that he was always confident of making it to the Indian cricket team again.
