No loss of life or property was reported so far.

Earlier in the early hours on April 29, an earthquake of slight intensity measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale had shaken Assam.

MeT office had said the epicentre was in Sonitpur district on latitude 26.8 degree North and 92.5 degree East at a depth of five km.

Also on April 25, two mild tremors had been felt in Guwahati and its neighbouring areas in the state following the devastating tremor in Nepal.

The Northeastern region, for the past few days, has been facing many aftershocks since quake measuring 7.9-magnitude on Richter Scale hit Nepal on April 25.
