Warsaw (Poland): Officials in Poland say a small plane has crashed near an airport in the southern part of the country after the pilot reported engine trouble, killing all four people on board.

Emergency official Krzysztof Zietara told the wreckage was found on Sunday about six kilometers west of Katowice airport, where the plane was trying to land.

Airport spokesman Cezary Orzech said that the Polish-registered Cirrus plane with four Poles on board was traveling from Italy.

Orzech said the pilot reported engine trouble shortly before the four-seater plane vanished from radar.
