Reacting to the AAP leader’s taunt, Irani said she does not expect an iota of respect from him as he has a history of being disrespectful towards women.

“I do not know whether Vishwas wants to fight the elections on issues of development. I will only say that the contest is between Congress and BJP and not between any B team of the Congress party,” she added.

Taking a jibe at Irani, Vishwas had reportedly said, "Ab chahe Irani aye, Pakistani aye, Afghani aye, hum hara denge (We will defeat everyone in the way, be it Irani, Pakistani, Afghani, anybody).”

Referring to Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and BJP leader Smriti Irani as actors, Vishwas said, “Amethi is sick of actors and I don't care who the BJP or the Congress pitches against me. Rahul is a political actor, now an actress has joined the fray.”

"I have been staying in Amethi and have spent 40 nights here....Amethi has already decided who they want," Vishwas, who will be contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Amethi on AAP ticket, added.

He also sympathized with Irani for being fielded against him and Rahul Gandhi, saying some leaders in the BJP are unfavorable towards her.
