Jammu: In a measure to strengthen the party base in the Kashmir Valley, president of All-India BJP Mahila Morcha Smriti Irani urged women in the state to stand united against corruption and to put up a brave front to fight against the state government’s pro-separatist policies.

In an inaugural function of the three-day training camp of Jammu and Kashmir BJP Mahila Morcha on Thursday Irani said, “The party workers should spread loopholes of the policies framed by the Centre and J&K government among women of the state.”

Mahila Morcha National Prabhari & Member of Parliament Karuna Shukla, State Morcha in-charge Urmila Thakur and other senior members were also present in the function.

Referring to a campaign, to be held from August 1 to October 2, against the UPA government in the face of corruption, price hike and security threat Irani said, “The party workers should expose chinks of the Centre’s policies at ground level.”

In the training camp, the women cadres would be appraised of ideology, working and principles of the party. In the last day of the camp, the party workers will have to take examination.

A number of BJP state and Mahila Morcha leaders including Suresh Jamwal, Dr Nirmal Kamal, Kamla Gupta, Priya Sethi, Sudesh Trilochan, Parveen, Anju Devi, Swaran Gupta, Monica Khosla and Rajiv Charak were among those who attended the meet.
