Chennai: Coming up with a century break, ONGC's Brijesh Damani rallied to beat local lad Peter Paul 3-1 in the preliminary league of the Alumini Club Anna University invitational snooker tournament, here on Saturday.

After losing the first frame, Damani rallied to level with frame score with a superb break of 67 and then followed it up to lead 2-1 in the third. He struck fluency with an artistic 116 in sinking eight blacks, four pinks, three blues,one brown, green and a yellow with ease.

Others to qualify for the knock-out stage at the end of today's matches are S A Saleem, Faisal Khan, Siddharth Parikh, Rafath Habib, Vijay Nichani and R Loganathan qualified for the knock-outstage from their respective groups.
