Being veteran actress Sharmila Tagore’s daughter, acting is in Soha Ali Khan’s blood. Classic beauty Soha Ali Khan does not believe in the rat race of actresses. She believes in doing meaningful movies in which she can show her acting skills. Starting her Bollywood career with Dil Mange More, this perfect blend of beauty and intellect Soha Ali Khan has come a long way. Here she shares her views on Delhi and her love for home made food prepared by loving ‘Amma’.

Though my birthplace is Mumbai, I spent my childhood in Delhi. That is why, I have sheer affinity for our national capital and I always search for excuses to visit there. Delhi is my next home as my ‘Amma’ (Sharmila Tagore) stays there. Whenever, I visit my mother who cooks various delicious dishes for me.

Fun at Sarojini Nagar…

I along with my school friends used to go for shopping at Janpath and Sarojini Nagar. Those places are hot favourite for teenagers as you can find good yet funky stuffs there. But alas! Now can’t go to those street shops. When I would stay at Basant Vihar, I did shopping from nearby malls.

Love homemade food...

When it comes to food, I am very choosy. On Delhi sojourn, I would go to Karim’s, Purani Delhi to gorge on some delicious foods. Though I don’t like outside food much, chhole-bhature of Bengali market titillates my taste buds. My cook Din Muhammad prepares delicious yet healthy dishes for me and I love his cooking. As I live in Mumbai I miss ‘ghar ka khana’, whenever I go to Delhi, I always try to have homemade food.

Delhi has variety of people...

While Mumbaikars are more chilled out, Delhiites are very conscious. Most of the Delhiites are very curious about your personal matter including family background and designer dresses. I always try to maintain a distance from these people. While Delhi has a variety of culture and wide range of people, Mumbai just revolves around Bollywood.
