Bangalore, Jan 28 (Agencies): Lashing out at the B K Somasekhara judicial commission that probed the attacks on churches in parts of Karnataka in 2008, the Bangalore Archdiocese on Friday said it had not done 'justice' to the minority community by giving clean chit to saffron forces.

"The Commission has very badly let down the Christian community and the entire Christian community is disappointed and feel the report is unfair," Vicar General Archdiocese S Jagayanathan said.

"The report had said some incidents of attacks are true. If they were true, why the Commission had failed to name those who responsible for these attacks," he asked.

"And, also to say that 'it was self inflicted, some make believe, some blown out of proportion and some totally politicised' is indeed very painful and has also hurt the
sentiments of the Christian Community," he said.

He said enough evidence had been presented before the Commission in the form of video-clippings and supporting documents, it was disheartening to note that the commission had failed to bring them to book, he charged.

The highest bodies of the respective Christian churches in Karnataka and the Karnataka United Christian Forum for Human Rights will go through the report and would initiate future course of action, he said.
