Singapore, January 28 (Agencies): Somdev Devvarman with South African Rik De Voest have advanced to the semifinal of the men’s doubles at the Singapore ATP Challenger defeating Dmitry Tursonov fo Russia and Chinese Taipei’s Jimmy Wang.

Asian Games gold medallist Devvarman and De Voest edged out the Tursonov–Wang pair 6-4 3-6 10-7 after trailing 5-7 in the tie break.

The pair will take on second seeds Sonchai and Sonchat Ratiwatana of Thailand in the semifinals.

The Thai twins scored a 7-6(5) 2-6 10-5 win over India's Purav Raja and Fillipino Conrad Treat Huey in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Devvarman has also made it to the quartefinals of the singles event after registering a comfortable straight sets victory over Australian John Millman.
