Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Coal Minister Jaiswal said that September 10 was the date by which his Ministry was to have handed over the files to CBI.
Some files in the meantime were handed over to the probe agency, Jaiswal said, adding that CBI would now find the remaining ones.

Responding to a query on the violence in Muzaffarnagar district, the Congress leader said that the Uttar Pradesh government should leave no stone unturned in improving the law and order situation in the affected areas.

Despite a warning from the Union Home Ministry that riots could take place anytime and anywhere in the state, UP government had taken no steps to prevent incidents like the one in Muzaffarnagar, Jaiswal alleged.

But instead of going into details like whose fault it was that the riots had taken place, the priority now should be to normalize the situation and provide security to the people, he added.
