"The country cannot run with ‘mohalla’ politics, no government can run from Ramlila Maidan,” he told reporters here.

He observed that confrontations have become a regular day affair.

"Today everywhere we find conflicts. There is no attitude of cooperation anywhere. Everybody wants to show how he or she is better than the other, I fear danger of non functioning" he added.

"If a law has to be decided on the streets. Sorry I contend there is no need for having a Delhi Assembly," he said, pointing out that laws cannot be changed because something is disliked.
