The actress gave her opinion regarding Deepika's video and said "I haven't watched the video but I know about the thought behind it that is women empowerment... it comes from a good space but honestly I believe empowerment should be given to those women who need it, far away from where we are right now."

She further added "I also feel that it is not always about who you want to have sex with and the kind of clothes you wear. It is about employment, strength and stuff like that. So it is a good initiative but I think it needs to reach out to people who actually need it, the deep ends of society".

Social media is in real storm with the public and bollywood stars facing battle between likes and dislikes for Deepika's statements in the video.

Deepika's video 'My Choice' went viral on different social platforms which was uploaded on social networing site You Tube on March 28.

The short film based on women empowerment  is written by Kersi Khambatta and directed by Homi Adajania. It’s produced by Dinesh Vijan. It's is a black and white film where Deepika Padukone along with 98 other women stands for eqaulity of women in the Indian society.
