Sonia Gandhi said that the Congress government has brought reforms in all sectors in the state, while attacking the BJP for making over the top promises.

She claimed that Haryana has developed in all the major sectors like agriculture, business and literacy.

"The Congress has made history by bringing various reforms in Haryana in 10 years," Sonia Gandhi said.

While touching on the subject of Haryana's connectivity with the national capital, Gandhi said, "Delhi Metro has reached Faridabad and Gurgaon. Soon it will reach Kundli and Bahadurgarh. Metro will reach Rohtak and Panipat."

Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, Gandhi said the ruling government at the Centre has failed to live up to the promises it had made, asking the crowd whether the illegal blackmoney stashed in foreign banks have been brought back to the country within the hunded days of the NDA government taking over as promised.

"Dont rely upon the 'false' promises of other parties. They have failed to set any example," Gandhi said.

She also asked the gathering whether the NDA governemnt has provided youngsters employment opportunities, adding that a nation is not built in a single day but it takes years of dedication.

The Congress president also urged the Haryana voters to be cautious of the parties who make 'false' promises to win the people's mandate.

Gandhi accused the BJP government of taking credit for the good work done by the preceeding UPA government.

Taking a veiled dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gandhi said those who scream a lot in front of the people doesn't mean it's always right.

"Jo Chillata Bahut Hai, Woh Sachha Nahi Hota (The one who screams a lot, it's not true," she said.

Meanwhile, in a belligerent attack on Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Haryana government, Modi on Saturday claimed that state has fallen behind on many fronts in the past decade.

Kicking off his party's poll campaign in Haryana, he hit out at the Congress for the state's backwardness.

Modi said that today the entire world was looking at India with greater respect and this had happened not because of him, but the power of 125 crore people of India, who had formed a strong and stable government at the Centre.
