Lucknow: Keeping in mind their future plans, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to target Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi over the issues of corruption, governance and inflation.

In his address speech, BJP national president Nitin Gadkari was quick to launch a scathing attack on Singh and Gandhi. He asserted that rather than targeting ministers and leaders, BJP will corner Congress on various public issue related matters.

Gadkari also instructed the members of party ruled states to intensify the movement against corruption.Questions related to corruption issues in Karnataka and Uttarakhand were raised in the party’s national working committee meeting.

Sources said a national vice-president of BJP raised this issue during the preparation of the proposal for corruption. Although Gadkari commented on different issues, but his focus was on corruption.

He claimed that PM and Gandhi cannot avoid their responsibility to answer the queries related to 2G Spectrum scam and CWG scam.
BJP General Secretary Anant Kumar presented a proposal upon which Shahnawaz Hussain and MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the UPA-II is the most corrupt government in the history.

The BJP has set out a five point agenda to set up an independent mechanism to deal with the corruption. It includes the appointment of Lokpal, the constitution of National Judicial Commission, the open voting in legislative council election, the making of public service guarantee law and to check the entry of people from criminal background in politics.
