"Sonia Gandhi is a big leader of her party. She should not insult the mandate of people. In last 30 years, people of the country have for the first time given full majority to a party. Will people of the country vote for lies or trap?" Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told reporters.

"What does she want to say. Her party had also won twice We did not say any such thing then. It is high time Congress party must reconcile to its defeat and the victory of BJP. Reluctance to recognize this is creating all these problems," the senior BJP leader said.
Accusing the Narendra Modi government of copying the schemes and programmes of the previous UPA dispensation and taking credit for the same, Sonia earlier said, "We had done so much. Still some people laid a trap and people got caught in it. Our work, our achievements got ignored and those showing false dreams marched ahead."
Prasad said that Congress leaders should accept that their party had the worst defeat in its history while the BJP had the best victory in its history in the Lok Sabha polls.
"It is because they did not run government well. That is why they were ousted," the BJP leader said.
Party spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said that Sonia is attacking BJP but forgetting that it is the same Congress which has shown dreams to the people that have remained unfulfilled and befooled them.
"The dreams shown by Congress now appear as nightmares to the people of India," Hussain said.
He also said that Congress is now reacting in ‘panic’ as it urges introspection on why the people did not give it enough seats for it to get the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition's post.
