Mumbai: Indian wrestler Sonika Kaliraman, who expecting a child, has voluntarily opted out of popular television reality show 'Bigg Boss'.
    
Sonika entered the Bigg Boss 5 house with a six-month baby bump last week.
    
Due to the turbulent environment in the 'Bigg Boss' house, the channel officials gave Sonika an opportunity to leave the house which she happily accepted.
    
She joyously announced to her fellow contestants that she was going home to live peacefully with her husband and family. Her fellow contestants sent her home with good wishes.
    
While Sonika bid adieu, TV actor Amar Upadhyay has joined the show, giving company to Shakti Kapoor, the lone male member of the show.  Sonika Kaliraman bids adieu to 'Bigg Boss'

Daughter of the great wrestler of 70’s and also a winner of Arjun award, Sonika is expected to deliver baby in December. In the history of Bigg Boss, she is the first participant who is pregnant. Sonika wanted to promote women empowerment and spread the message that the pregnant women should not be imprisoned inside the house instead lead a normal life.

Born in Haryana, Sonika lives in California with her NRI husband Siddhartha Mallik. They got married in 2000. Siddhartha Mallik is a martial arts national champion in America.

After the dispute between Bigg Boss participant Pooja Mishra and other family members, Bigg Boss gave Sonika option to quit the show which she readily accepted.

Sonika now wants to go back to her husband and family, while other participants are shocked with her decision.
