As per the reports, the company will launch the tablet under its flagship Xperia brand in the first quarter of next year.

Going by the details revealed by Digitimes, supply chain of the company, the device will come with a 12.9-inch display with an ultra-impressive resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels.

Powered by Qualcomm-made processor, the tablet will feature a 8 MP rear camera. The 8.6 mm thick device will cost USD 1,000 (Rs 63,700 approximately).

Sources said Sony's supply chain has wrapped up manufacturing components for the tablet's impending mass production. Sony tablet will likely be manufactured by Pegatron Technology, which also works with Apple and Microsoft, it added. The sources claimed the Japanese companies will be ahead in the tablet segment next year.
