Ranchi: The miseries of ruling alliance in Jharkhand continue to pile up with each passing day. After the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha by-poll debacle, now Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), a key ally in the ruling alliance has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party over adopting a negligent approach towards the Muslims.

In a letter to Chief Minister Arjun Munda, JMM supremo and chairman state coordination committee Shibu Soren put a question on government’s negligent attitude towards Muslim community, which has made an equal contribution in creation of Jharkhand as a separate state.

Taking note of Guruji’s letter, the CM has directed the officials to expedite the recruitment process of Urdu teachers in the state.
Lashing out at the government, Soren said, “The Muslims are being neglected by the government in imparting education. The Madarsa Board has not been constituted yet, while 592 Madarsas have not got recognition. Ironically, all these educational institutions have been devoid of government subsidy.”

JMM supremo also expressed anger over reserving only one seat for the Urdu language in the Education Training Colleges in the state.

The letter also highlights non-inclusion of Urdu in the applications invited for the recruitment of the Post Graduate Trained Teachers. Soren sought to provide scholarships for the meritorious Muslim students in line with the Schedule Castes/Schedule Tribes.

He suggested the government to prepare a framework for imparting professional training to Muslims students.

Munda has also directed the Human Resources Development Department to prepare a list of vacant seats reserved for Muslims and prepare a roadmap for their quality education.

He also ordered the concerned department to pay the arrears of the minority teachers at the earliest.
