Kolkata: The sixth edition of Indian Premier League has already kicked off with spectacular opening ceremony on Wednesday. During the first encounter, Kolkata Knight Riders has convincingly defeated Delhi Daredevils. Amidst huge anticipation, all the teams are enthused to give their best in the coming months.

There is a big fan following for all the IPL franchisees Teams. Former captain of India Sourav Ganguly enthused to enjoy the matches of this season. He has also selected a team to support during the IPL-6. However, it comes as a big surprise that he is supporting Mumbai team instead of his home city team Kolkata Knight Riders. He said that with better coaching staffs and experienced players, Mumbai Indians are big contender to lift the IPL-6 trophy.

Ganguly said that Mumbai team is certainly going to be benefitted with the presence of John Wright as their coach, Anil Kumble as mentor and Ricky Ponting as captain. The playing eleven also looks formidable with Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh and Glenn Maxwell in the side. Rohit Sharma and Ambati Rayudu are among the best talent in the country.

On being asked to comment on the current champion Kolkata Knight Riders, Ganguly said the KKR are brimming with enthusiasm with their last year’s win. However, he expressed concern over the injuries in the KKR team. The former captain also said that the performance of domestic players will be decisive for the teams in IPL.
