CCTV had been installed in 14 stations, including Madurai, Coimbatore and Chennai, and all networked for round-the-clock monitoring, Southern Railway General Manager Rakesh Mishra told reporters here.
A woman software engineer was killed and 14 other passengers injured when two low-intensity bombs exploded in Guwahati-bound Kaziranga Express at Central Railway station on May 1.
On the progress of proposed rail coach factory at Kanjikode in Kerala, Mishra said railways was in the process of acquiring another 90 acres of land from forest department, in addition to the 260 acres already handed over for the purpose.

Once land acquisition was over, the project was expected to commence, he said.
