Dehradun: Speculation is rife in the political corridor in the hill state Uttarakhand with Sharda Pratap Shukla, Samajwadi Party MLA from Sarojini Nagar seat (Lucknow)  meeting with former Chief Minister and veteran Congress leader N D Tiwari at his Dehradun residence ‘Anant Van’ on Sunday. During the meeting, senior SP leader invited ND Tiwari to visit Lucknow.

SP MLA along with dozen of SP leaders visited ‘Anant Van’ and met the veteran Congress leader. The meeting lasted about an hour.

Shukla said that he has come to seek guidance from ND Tiwari on the instructions of Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

ND Tiwari has explained the best perspective of socialism. Shukla also requested ND Tiwari to visit Lucknow and guide the party workers as a mentor.

During the meeting with guests came from the state, Tiwari appeared completely immersed in socialist thinking. He also shared many old memoirs with SP leaders.

Tiwari said that the main aim of socialism is to strengthen democracy and to provide basic facilities to the common man. The senior Congress leader praised Mulayam Singh Yadav by calling him an old friend.
