Lucknow: A meeting of Samajwadi Party's state executive committee would be held here on August 4, an official spokesman said on Saturday.

During a meeting, chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and state president Akhilesh Yadav, programme of meetings of party functionaries has been finalised, SP spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said here.

He said that as per the decision, the meeting of the state executive would be held on August 4.

Before this, a meeting of party MLAs and MLCs would be held on July 31, he said.

Chaudhary said that on August 5, a meeting of district and city unit presidents and general secretaries would be held and on the next day, a meeting of district and city unit presidents and general secretaries of youth wings have been called.

He said that SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav would issue the necessary directives during these meetings.

Earlier, the party had called meeting of state executives on July 28, followed by meeting of district presidents on July 29 and district presidents of youth outfits on July 30, but the programme was cancelled due to unavoidable reasons.
