Mumbai: Even after becoming the daughter-in-law of Bollywood’s biggest star Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya has been able to maintain an identity of her own. This year another feather will be added to her cap graciously.
Every year Aishwarya celebrates her birthday but this birthday has brought something special in her life. This year on November 1, Aishwarya will be honoured with the second highest civilian French honour ‘Officer Dan Ordre des Arts et des Lettres ‘ (officer of the order of arts and letters) by the French government.
All the family members and her in laws have spared time for this moment. All of them will be attending the ceremony where Aish will be awarded with the French Honour. It is going to be a great moment for her. This award was offered to Aishwarya back in 2009 also. But she refused to take the award as her father Krishna Raj was unwell. This investiture ceremony was then postponed by the French Government in deference to the victims of the Mumbai bomb blasts.
Now finally, the Bachchan bahu will be honoured on her birthday (on November 1) in the city. Earlier, on the eve of the 67th United Nations General Assembly, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS)appointed global Indian icon Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as International Goodwill Ambassador. Aishwarya is supposed to raise awareness on issues related to stopping new HIV infections in children and advocate for increased access to antiretroviral treatment.
Aishwarya’s fans have created 17,000 websites for her on internet. Not only this, Aish has also been included in the list of the most influential women in 2004 by Times magazine. Aish is counted amongst the most beautiful women in the world.
