The Spice Stellar Mi-362 is a dual-SIM device, which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

"The new 3G-enabled device is increasingly relevant for sub-urban consumers as it provides a good internet experience," the company in a statement said.

The Spice Stellar 362 has a 3.5-inch display and sports an 2MP rear camera and 1.3MP front facing camera. The smartphone comes with 2GB of built-in storage which can be expanded up to 32GB.  

For connectivity, the phone supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, Bluetooth and is powered by a 1300 mAh battery.

Smartphone sales in India grew almost three-fold to over 44 million in 2013, buoyed by affordable devices made by local firms such as Spice, Micromax and Karbonn, according to research firm IDC.

In the second quarter of 2014, smartphone sales grew 84% to 18.42 million units from 10.02 million units (in April-June 2013 quarter, as per IDC data.
