Pataudi: Keeping in mind the future of young sportspersons from the state, Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sukhbir Kataria said on Friday the state government has decided to setup a modern Sports city with various facilities between Pataudi and Gurgaon.

He said an official approval has been taken from Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda regarding the same and very soon the sports as a subject will be added to the syllabus of school education.

Talking to reporters after attending a private function in Milakpur village, Kataria said, “Haryana government had decided to construct 238 stadiums for the promotion of sports in the state out of which 168 have already been built”.

While answering to a question, Kataria said, “If any municipality or nearby village gives land for the construction of the sports ground he will urge the CM about constructing a new stadium on the name of Late Nawab of Pataudi, Mansoor Ali Khan.

Meanwhile, the state government is going to setup a national football academy at 20 acres of land in Wazirpur, besides planning to include sports as a subject so that students can remain healthy and attain overall development.

At this occasion, Milakpur’s Ex-MP Choudhary Madanlal, Sarpanch Choudhary Ramesh Singh, Choudhary Karmveer Singh, Pradeem Balmiki, Ajit Chawan, Ombeer Takharana,  Sarpanch of Deblavas Madan, Dharampal Numberdar, Jitendra Numberdar, Dilip Singh, Tej Singh and Beekhu Ram were also present.
