The new face for the South Korean automaker’s D-segment sedan has now moved from flowing to muscular and this is very evident by the sharp lines and large chrome grille.

The shape of the headlights too has changed and they now have chrome eyebrows. A major update on the fascia is the addition of vertically stacked LED DRLs.

Not much is known about the vehicle apart from the fact that a lot of the underpinnings and engine options will be carried over from the current vehicle.

The current Elantra has been on sale since 2012 without any major updates. It is one of the most under performing models for the automaker and this update may just be a shot-in-the-arm for it to get some numbers.
