Though the marriage took place at Guruvayoor Sreekrishna temple in Thrissur, the couple will attend a reception at Le Meridian hotel in Kochi on Thursday evening.

The bride stood by Sreesanth when he was jailed over the spot-fixing scandal which took place during the last edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament. She had no problems with the accusations that have been leveled on the former cricketer.

After his arrest on May 16 and subsequent imprisonment till June 11, Sreesanth was banned from all forms of the game by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following a probe by the cricket body.

Sreesanth has been charged under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) and the case has now been posted for December 18. Sreesanth, who is the second Keralite to represent the country, has played in 27 Tests (87 wickets), 53 ODIs (75 wickets) and 10 T20s (seven wickets).
