Bhopal: A rail steam engine 'Hill Stallion', which was dedicated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, will add to the tourist attraction of the famous Boat Club in Bhopal.
The setting up of Bhojtal Junction will increase joy to tourism on the banks of the Upper Lake.
The Hill Stallion steam engine installed by Bhopal Municipal Corporation and Railways is 48 years old and it was built by Tata Engineering Locomotive in 1963.
The engine which served the Railways for 34 years was first run in North-Eastern Railways in Assam.
Addressing the dedication programme on Tuesday, Chouhan said all-out efforts will be made to make Bhopal as the most beautiful city of the world.
Chouhan said the paucity of funds will not be allowed to come in the way and added that cooperation of the city residents is also required in this work.
Urban Administration Minister Babulal Gaur said the master plan of the Upper Lake will be finalised soon and added that every possible effort is being made to make Bhopal a tourist hotspot.
