Bashir Ahmad Bhat, 24, was killed and Nazir Ahmad and Haleema were injured when security forces allegedly opened fire to restore law and order, the sources said.
Ahmad was hit by a bullet and was admitted in Soura Medical Institute in a critical condition.
Haleema, who suffered injuries in pellet fire, was being treated at SMHS hospital, the sources said.
Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency went to polls on Wednesday amid a boycott call by separatists.
Curfew was imposed in parts of Srinagar city as a preventive measure following the killing of the youth.
"Curfew has been imposed in old city area as a preventive measure to maintain law and order," a spokesman of the district administration said.
Meanwhile, two more youth have been admitted to hospital with pellet injuries sustained during protests against the killing of Bhat.
Separatists groups have called for a complete shutdown on Thursday against the firing incident that also left two other persons including a woman injured.
