Jammu: Two persons barged into a Nari Niketan in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district and pelted stones at its inmates, police said on Monday.

The incident happened during the intervening night of May 4-5, they said. The two escaped after hurling stones at girls, police said.

Police launched a massive hunt and arrested one of them, they said adding he was identified as Mohammad Irfan. The other is still absconding, police said.

In the same district, three persons were arrested in Katti area on charges of physically assaulting a pregnant woman under the influence of liquor.
