Lucknow: Giving strict warning over the forthcoming Students Union Polls in the universities and colleges, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has said that stern action would be taken against the students if they are found to be involved in creating anarchy in the campuses of colleges and universities in the guise of polls.

He further said that students union polls would be conducted on the recommendations of Lyngdoh Committee and state administration would have to follow them strictly.

While addressing the leaders and party workers of Samajwadi Party’s frontal youth organization at his official residence at 5, Kalidas Marg, he said that the government would not allow the educational environment in the campuses to be spoilt.

On this occasion he also asked them to participate actively in the Students Union Polls and to ensure discipline on the campuses.

Akhilesh further said, “Onus lies on you to set the things right after a change of the guard in the state.”

Chief Minister asked the youth of the state to report to the officials of the area concerned if they find any irregularity in the polls. He further asked them to report him directly if any official is found neglecting his duties.
