Ballia: In the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent ruling endorsing the constitutional status of the Right TO Education (RTE) Act, the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Minister Ram Govind Chaudhary said that the state government will take strict actions against the schools found guilty of violation the Apex Court’s ruling.
Speaking here on Saturday, the minister said, “Recognition of the schools could be cancelled if any of them found guilty of violating the ruling of the Apex Court.”

He told reporters as per the order, the schools would not only be required to give admission to 25 per cent poor children, but also provide them facilities like other students.

Chaudhary said that emphasis would be given that schools run as per the schedule and an environment of education and discipline was created.

The Supreme Court on Thursday upheld the constitutional validity of the RTE that mandates unaided private schools to earmark 25 percent seats for students from economically and socially weaker sections of society.
