New Delhi: Students of Delhi University will elect their next union on September 14, with the varsity on Thursday announcing the schedule for the election season.
While the process of receiving nomination papers will end on September 4, scrutiny and publication of candidates will be done on the same evening.
The University has appointed Prof C S Dubey of the Department of Geology as the Chief Election officer for this year's polls.
The Chief Election Officer will publish the final list of candidates who will go to polls on September 6, after scrutiny of nomination papers, bank drafts and withdrawal of nominations.
The election will be held on September 14.
The University's outgoing students union is headed by NSUI leader Ajay Chikara while the other three top posts on the union's panel are held by BJP's youth wing ABVP.
