New Delhi: The Union Health Ministry on Monday has claimed that study will start in the upcoming AIIMS like institutes in different states from next academic session. The Ministry stated that the recruitment of teachers and directors for medical centres would be finished in the next three months.

“Board directors in Patna and Bhopal have taken their charges. Patna’s director has been given additional charge of Rishikesh and Bhoapl’s director has been given additional charge of Jodhpur,” a senior official from the Ministry said.

The recruitment process for remaining four directors is going on. The next session is slated to commence from August. Fifty students will get admission in each session.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana sponsored by the Centre, the Union Health Ministry had already appointed all six directors for all six institutions located in Patna, Bhopal, Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Jodhopur and Rishikesh. But later, directors of Raipur, Bhubaneswar, Jodhopur and Rishikesh refused to take their charges.

All buildings are ready and the process of installing equipments is going on. The hospital will probably start functioning from mid-2013.
