Indore: US-based fast food chain Subway on Friday opened a restaurant in the city, its first in Madhya Pradesh, and plans to have more outlets in the state by the year-end.

As per a survey, Indore generates Rs 3.5 crore worth of fast food business per month. Of this, the restaurant chain is aiming to corner 5 to 10 percent share, Subway franchise Managing Director Abhishek Bahety said at a press conference.

In the next six months, outlets would be opened in Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur, he said.

The company operates 36,800 stores across 100 countries, including over 250 in India.
