"I am happy that the process has started. I was going to file a PIL on January 15, but now I don't have to so I am happy. The truth has already practically come out. It is now for Mr Shashi Tharoor to speak the truth," Swamy said.

"I am very pleased with both the Home Minister Rajnath Singh's decisiveness and with some of the doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) who stood their ground and resisted pressure from the previous government," he added.

Appreciating the AIIMS faculty and  Dr Sudhir Gupta's work Swamy said, "Sudhir Gupta has done a thorough job, he is a gold medalist. May be he doesn't speak English like Shashi Tharoor but he is a much read man. He has got a phenomenal memory and is the head of the department of Forensic Sciences and they tried to remove him."

Delhi Police on Wednesday has served a notice to Congress MP Shashi Tharoor asking him to join investigation into the mysterious death of his wife Sunanda Pushkar  at the earliest.

A Special Investigation Team has been formed by Delhi Police to probe the mysterious death of Sunanda Pushkar after registering a murder case based on a medical report.

Delhi Police on Tuesday registered a murder case into Sunanda's death under section 302 of the IPC on the basis of an AIIMS medical report that concluded that her death was unnatural and due to poisoning, but nobody has been named as a suspect as yet. No one has been named in the FIR also.
