New Delhi: It was sheer nostalgia for India international Sunil Chhetri as he decided to take a trip down memory lane on Monday after visiting his alma mater Mamta Modern Senior Secondary school here.

So emotional was Chhetri that he decided to sit amongst students rather than taking his designated place on the dias.

Much to the delight of the students, the ndian striker was wearing his school uniform. Although he apologized for arriving 40 minutes late, he also more than made it up by interacting with the students for four hours.

In a voice choked with emotion, the footballer recollected how it all started at this very playground of the school.

"I have been selected for Arjuna award. It all started on this very ground, the goal post and the precious advice that I received from my first Anit Dhulia will forever be etched in my memory," Chhetri said while urging the students to work hard to achieve their goals.
