The producer of the show, Priti Simoes, said that talks are on but "nothing has been finalised yet". Simoes added that Kapil (Sharma) and she have been trying to figure out what Sunil can play in case he comes back.

Simoes said that Gutthi gained much appreciation on the show but later on the gap was filled by Palak and Dadi.
She said, “The character of Gutthi cannot work for long. So, it is pointless in getting Sunil back in the same zone which he left so many months ago. If it does work out between channel and him we will get many characters out of him. He is very good at playing multiple characters."

On being asked whether the show will go off air in September as was reported, she said, "It was a misinterpretation. Kapil had tweeted about taking a break from the shoot, not the show. Even the channel was rattled when he tweeted that! Actually, we wanted to bring changes in the set and get on board new faces.”

She said, “However, we haven't been finding the time because of the bi-weekly format. So we are planning to shoot a bank of episodes, take a break of 15-20 days to make the changes and present something new to the audience."
