Dewas: The main accused in 2008 Malegaon blast, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur was presented before a Dewas court Judge in Madhya Pradesh on Monday, in connection with the Sunil Joshi murder case. Pragya was brought to the court in an ambulance.

Joshi, who was a suspect in the 2007 Samjhauta Express blast case, was shot dead in Dewas on December 29, 2007. In the chargesheet, Dewas police has accused Thakur of framing the conspiracy for Joshi’s murder.

Dewas session court III judge Omkarnath Gupta walked up to the ambulance parked inside the court premises to check Thakur’s condition. After the hearing, court ordered Thakur’s medical checkup and said she should be taken back to Mumbai.

After the hearing, Thakur was taken to Indore for treatment under judicial custody. The next hearing of the case has been scheduled for May 13.

On Monday, Thakur was brought to Dewas from Mumbai in Mumbai-Indore Avantika Express. Due to poor health, she was rushed to Mahatma Gandhi hospital directly from the railway station. Thakur is said to be suffering from ailment in her backbone due to which she has problems in standing straight.

After medical checkup, which confirmed that her heartbeat and blood pressure were normal, she was taken to Dewas court in an ambulance.
