Chennai: In front of a gigantic target of 184 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore bulldozed by Chennai Super Kings and got a humiliating defeat by 21 runs.

The most reliable batsmen Virat Kohli and Saurav Tiwary also left in between after three major shocks. Kohli played a valuable innings scoring 35runs off 28 balls with the help of 4 fours and one six.

Chennai Super Kings made the grip on the game as the top three batsmen of Royal Challengers Bangalore departed on a paltry score of 36 runs.

Mike Hussey ripped through Royal Challengers Bangalore with his stunning fifty off 42 balls, as he took the team’s score to 137/2 after 16 overs. He struck eight fours and a six in his valuable innings.

The first down batsman Sursh Raina came on the crease after the departure of Murali Vijay as he played an edge on Ninan’s delivery where Mayan Aggarwal took a magnificent catch. Raina scored 29 runs off 16 balls with the help of three boundaries and one dazzling six. 

Chennai Super Kings devastating opener Murali Vijay (31) became the first victim for Royal Challengers Bangalore as he played a lofted shot on Ninan’s delivery and gave an easy catch on the boundary.

Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first against Daniel Vettori led Royal Challengers Bangalore in their Indian Premier League in Chennai.
