New Delhi: The decision of Team Anna to form a political alternative has not gone down well with their supporters who have expressed unhappiness over the abrupt end of the peaceful agitation against corruption.

It seems that somewhere their supporters are disheartened with their decision of joining politics.

Team Anna has also come under sharp criticism from intellectuals and various political parties who hail the decision as a fraud with the common man.

Though political parties like the BJP welcomed Anna Hazare’s decision, it was quick to caution that Team Anna cannot be an alternative to the party.

Soon after the decision one of the Team Anna supporters, Raju Verma, hailing from Mumbai said that nothing is left for him to stay here. At last, each and every movement meets with a similar fate.

“We wanted change in the system and politics, not a political party,” Verma further added.
Being highly critical of Team Anna’s decision, many supporters are of the view that they should change their decision.

On the other hand taking a dig at Team Anna’s stand, Swami Agnivesh said that Anna Hazare has insulted Mahatma Gandhi on whose ideas and philosophies the agitation was based.

Another Team Anna supporter and social worker Medha Patekar said that if the movement takes a political turn then the result could be akin to other agitations, so Anna should change his stand.

Meanwhile, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pawan Bansal has already made it clear that the Lokpal Bill will not come in this Monsoon Session of Parliament.
