Gwalior: Prevailing factionalism in Congress cadres at Madhya Pradesh is likely to have an adverse impact on party preparations for the next assembly elections.

Supporters of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia who are eying party ticket in state polls have split in two groups, each making constant efforts to outsmart the other. At times, the party factions do not shy from casting aspersions against each other.

Generally, supporters of Scindia group get the party ticket in and around the Gwalior region. Therefore, members of Brahmin Samaj are lobbying hard to convince Scindia by holding functions for him.

The differences within the supporters of Scindia are clearly visible as Congress MLA Pradyuman Singh Tomar is showcasing his strength in the meeting in the Hazira region, whereas on the other end Brahmin Samaj is reflecting its prominence by holding separate meetings.
