New Delhi: While lakhs have turned up at Ramlila Ground to showcase their faith in Anna Hazare’s campaign, there are several others who have supported the movement from different cities of the countries.

People have adopted different approach and methods to support the cause. In a novel way of extending solidarity to the campaign, a faction of supporters have expressed their desire to transfer all their property to Anna.

The information centre at Ramlila Ground has received more than 200 such letters from different parts of the country.

Amrit Lal (name changed), a resident of Varanasi has sent his will to Anna. Along with his will, he has also expressed desire to sacrifice his life in the crusade against corruption. 

Likewise, Bihar’s Madhibani resident Digambar Jha has assured to extend all possible support to Anna. Uttar Pradesh’s Ambedkar Nagar’s resident Ganesh Sahi has also made his intentions clear for support Anna.

Not only this, people are also sending gifts to Anna through courier. Each day more than 500 gifts are being received on an average. Followers of Anna from Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai have extended their wishes and support by sending flute, hand-made painting of Anna and books.

According to the in-charge of the information centre Ramesh Agarwal, “Every day we are receiving more than 20,000 to 30,000 letters. Mainly the letters are from the supporters from outside Delhi, who have been unable to participate in the protest at the Ramlila grounds.”

He added that important letters are sent to Anna and even replied back.
