New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday granted six months time to the special CBI court of Patiala to complete the trial of Bibi Jagir Kaur case. Former chief of Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC), Bibi Jagir Kaur has been accused of killing her own daughter. The case hearing is still on in the special CBI court of Patiala.

On Friday, bench comprising justices Dalveer Bhandari and Deepak Verma, granted more time on the request of the special CBI judge. The bench has asked the CBI judge to complete the hearing of Jagir Kaur case within the next six months.

The court had extended the trial period earlier too.

It needs to be mentioned that in the year 2000, Harpreet, daughter of Jagir Kaur died under mysterious circumstances. Kawanljeet, husband of Harpreet, accused Kaur of having killed her daughter.
