"Among the new generation of actors, Sushant is promising. He never shows off his acting. It is very subtle and inherent. He is a very good actor," said the National Award-winning director during an interaction with media people.

The director is busy scouting for locations in the city for his forthcoming film "Detective Byomkesh Bakshi" that is slated to go on the floors in December.

The film is based on one of the 33 crime thrillers penned by famed Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandopadhyay with ByomkeshBakshi as the protagonist between 1932 and 1970.
Featuring Sushant as the popular detective, the movie will be set in then Calcutta during the World War years in 1942.

"Sushant is just like the earlier Byomkesh (of 1930s). The Byomkesh that Bandyopadhayay wrote when he was young and adventurous. That is the new aspect that you will get," he added.
