Jammu: Three of the seven BJP legislators, who were suspended by the party for cross voting in the legislative council elections, have accused the party of caste discrimination.

The three legislators including Garu Ram, Durgaadass and Bharat Bhushan on Sunday said that they were suspended by the party because they belong to scheduled castes and backward classes.

Garu Ram also claimed that the party does not take their opinions in while deciding on organizational and policy matters. “Disappearance of two young women in Kishtwar also went unnoticed within the party as they were Dalits,” Garu charged.

The legislator complained that inspite of having the charge of Leh constituency he was not even consulted while deciding the names of candidates for council elections.
