Lucknow:  Uttar Pradesh Constable Subodh Yadav who had made corruption allegations against some senior police officials from the stage of Anna Hazare campaign, has been dismissed from the Government Railway Police (GRP) service.

Yadav has been dismissed from the service on grounds of indiscipline, ignoring rules and remaining absent from his duty.

On August 24, Yadav while he was suspended went on to the stage of Anna Hazare’s protest at Ramlila Ground to vent out anger on his seniors.

Yadav was dressed in police uniform while he made his speech from the platform. He not only alleged UP Special DGP Brij Lal and the Additional Director General of Railways AK Jain but also exposed that he has been suspended nine times earlier for raising voice against corruption in the police department.

Reacting to the incident, ADG (law and order), AP Maheshwari had said that a suspended cop cannot wear the uniform and had claimed for departmental action against Yadav.

Commenting on the dismissal orders, Yadav called it illegal and said he would challenge the decision in court.
