Lucknow: Suspended Constable of Uttar Pradesh police, Subodh Yadav will have to face departmental action for venting his anger on his seniors from the stage of Anna Hazare’s protest at Ramlila Ground. To make the situation even worse, the constable who has already been on the receiving end of his seniors, was dressed in police uniform while he made his speech from the platform.

ADG (Law and Order) A P Maheshwari said, “A suspended official has no right to be in uniform, therefore departmental action will be taken against him.”

However, he maintained that, without knowing the complete facts of the episode, it was difficult to make any comment.

Meanwhile, Subodh Yadav, who has been suspended on nine occasions said, “After being suspended many times for raising my voice against corruption, I do not fear any departmental action.”

Yadav during his posting in the Government Railway Police in Gorakhpur was suspended. Yadav was also found guilty of violating disciplinary rules when he was on office bearer of the Welfare Association.

After joining the police force in 1994 from Dehradun, Yadav was transferred to Gorakhpur from Etawah GRP.

Yadav hit the headlines on Wednesday when he used the platform of Ramlila Ground to level charges against his seniors.

According to sources, the procedures for the dismissal of the suspended Constable have already started.
