The new Vitara is set to hit the market in the UK with prices ranging between £13,999 (Rs 13.44 lakh) and £21,299 (Rs 20.45 lakh) depending on the variant. Suzuki Vitara series has earned acclaim for its compact, city-oriented

The auto company said  the new Vitara has smaller dimensions to meet modern needs and incorporates the brand’s ALLGRIP four-wheel-drive system as an option.

Standard equipment on all models include seven airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, audio system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control with speed limiter, auto air conditioning, front and rear electric windows and projector headlamps.

More expensive versions add 17-inch silver painted alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, smartphone link audio and navigation system.

The top-spec model, also has LED projector headlights, 17-inch polished alloy wheels, key less entry with start button, adaptive cruise control, Radar Brake Support and panoramic sunroof.

Powered by Suzuki’s M16A 1.6-litre petrol engine or the D16AA 1.6-litre DDiS engine the new Vitara is  the latter develops 120bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. The petrol engine puts out similar power but makes do with 156Nm of torque.
