Securing a historic victory in a hitherto Congress-dominated state, the saffron party plans to make the ceremony the talk of the town. Invitations have been sent out to several A-listers, from Amitabh Bachchan to Lata Mangeshkar.

A party members says, “The guest list for the grand ceremony includes many big names from different fields. Right from Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Bachchan Sr and Hrithik Roshan, famous personalities of the country are expected to make an appearance at the swearing-in function. Top industrialists of India have also been invited.”

The function will take place at the Wankhede Stadium which is all dolled up for the occasion. It will have a grand stage divided into three sections with a seating capacity for 200 VVIPs.

A 150-feet wide LED screen will also be put up while 25 giant lotus cut-outs on boats in the sea just off the Stadium.

Bollywood’s famous art director Nitin Desai has been roped in to design the stage that will showcase both ancient and modern Maharashtra.

BJP spokesperson, Shaina NC says most celeb invitees have confirmed their participation at the event.

“Hrithik Roshan, Sonakshi Sinha, Vivek Oberoi and Madhur Bhandarkar among others have confirmed their presence while the three Khans, Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir, will not be able to make it as they are traveling,” the source said.

The party member adds, “The last time several celebrities congregated under one roof was during the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. At that time, Salman Khan, Dharmendra, Anupam Kher and actor-politicians Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Kirron Kher were in attendance. This time, Modi along with Amit Shah and other big names from the party will be present.”
